The City of Mattawa operates under the mayor-council form of government. In this form, the elected mayor serves as the City’s chief administrative officer, and an elected seven-member council serves as the City’s legislative body.

The Public Works Department is responsible for the operation of the underlying infrastructure of the City of Mattawa. Providing daily services that enhance the quality of life and health for our community; services include the City’s Water, Sewer, Streets, Park, and Library.
